hmmm, down to 2 unbeaten teams in college football, and yet, texas might even not be ranked 2 after monday. a simple explaination is not available for this, so I've come up with this.
we've all known that the BCS is complete shit. In fact, so many of us believe that a playoff system would make more logical decisions, but here we go. computers, which are really great, have decided that they can decide the best picks for rankings. this is completely wrong, if a system like what we have is necessary, at least let the human votes mean something. Wouldn't it be awful to let Virginia tech despite the thrashing they recieved tonight be number 2? the computers might think that they are better than other worthy teams, texas won 62-0 today, does that even mean anything? the human votes say yes, but the bull c shit says possibly. College football needs to lose the BCS and make something better. basketball is good, because if you lose 1 or 2 you're not out of the running, now, a 64 team playoff is not reasonable for college football, but possibly 16 or even an 8 team playoff. the BCS is a complete joke, and yet, it's stil under contract, and that's another 2 or 3 seasons after this, but it's really a good chance now for football to be completely redrawn, and so it'll make more sense.
so who's number 1? choices, USC, texas, or the BCS computers. we'll find out on monday and tuesday
BCS is not perfect, but it is better than the system they used before coming up with BCS.
not by a long shot
I agree, the BCS is less than perfect.
I have to agree with Yankee on this one. The bcs is a piece of garbage. We all know that now their are only three unbeatens now, texas, USC, and Alabama, and still will Alabama pass VTech? Even after they lost to Miami, and will the rose bowl be texas and USC, probably not, but that is what it should be. Texas and USC deserve to play each other in my oppinion!
hmmm, forgot about bamma, oh well, they'll get fucked by the system now
well, it looks like the bc shit got fucked this time. Texas came out with the victory, and USC, after hmmm, too long, is now not the national champion. College playoff? I've always thought we needed it in division 1. Division 1aa has it, and it works, now it's time for the big boys to have it!
